Denial, is it always a bad thing to do? Granted, denying your truest emotions, pretending or creating a false reality can be dangerous. However, what if you use it to your advantage?

For example, lets say you are in a bad situation right now. Whether it be a broken relationship, loss of job, or you just feel blah. Your life is going fast to Negativille, and you see yourself getting more depressed, paranoid, and overwhelmed? Your situation seems impossible, and the reality is too hard to accept. What better moment than now to be in Denial? I know you must think I am crazy to ever suggest this, but honestly, desperate situations call for desperate measures.

Deny your horrible situation, and believe it is a good one. Deny yourself the reality of negativity, and accept a positive one even if it means pretending. Choose what reality you can accept, and U-turn your life back on course. If you cannot see the good in your life now, pretend. Sooner or later it will become your reality. Aristotle once said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit”
